The Hidalgo County Team Penning Association was formed in 1991. The first team out and the first team to pen at that penning was a husband and wife team Boyd & Pat Davis along with Tilman Sharp, in a time of 1 minute and 29 seconds. Boyd Davis was also one of the first buckle winners.
Team penning's/sorting's are held every other Friday night beginning at 8:00 PM, unless otherwise indicated.
Team penning has become a very rapidly growing and popular sport. We would like to invite all riders, beginning riders, advanced riders, any age to come out and pen/sort with us.
We have plenty of parking space and plenty of seating for those that would like to come out and watch. Come join us as a rider or a spectator on Friday evenings. Check the schedule on page three (3) for the dates.
